Starting Monday, the illness will have passed; as per normal for plots, all those symptoms and ick will just go away. Characters that're even vaguely medically savvy enough to realize that such illnesses normally have some recovery time can headwall as much as they want.
However, people will notice something different about their rooms right from the getgo ...all their things are still there, although beds may be shifted to be more bunk-style; people with shared rooms might find them rearranged to accommodate the fact that the rooms are now slightly smaller, with the beds one-over-the-other. It's also all some kind of nice, unidentifiable smooth metal, with hi-tech sliding doors and some kind of small terminal in the wall...
Outside the rooms? The Manor is now a small-to-middling starship. It's big enough for everyone that's living there with the side rooms converted to extra decks, but it's not really any bigger than the original building; there really aren't any extra lifeboats or other ships. The gardens that would be outside are now part of an observation deck on the bottom level that gives a clear view of
space without an
atmosphere - a significantly more colorful and busy starscape than most residents will be used to. On the top floor, there's now a bridge at the end of what would be the first hallway; said Bridge is completely automated, and the few characters used to such things might be disappointed to find that it'll resist all attempts at messing with the autopilot or detouring. The ship will take the scenic route past a few nebulas and such, but really, there's not actually anywhere else for the ship to GO - the Fourth Wall may not be visible this week, but it's still present in spirit, since there really isn't anywhere "mapped out" to the Author but the ship and its destination.
The kitchen will be staffed by small robots; they're not sentient, will run on computer logic, and aren't that complicated beyond being able to handle the kitchens - the same goes for the small cleaning bots the Manor will acquire this week. The kitchen bots will make regular meals, and the pantry will restock as normal, but they won't interfere with anyone who decides to actually cook in the kitchen.
The airlocks also won't open; there's some emergency spacesuits, but they're basically window dressing - consider the outer hull now basically the "Fourth Wall" for most intents and purposes. (This may be for the safety of the Manorites - "Hull breach" and "explosive decompression" aren't things the Author has scripted and she really didn't plan for this week ending with everyone dying, or with anyone managing to get separated from the ship, which would be a massively sucky way to go.)
The weather is, of course, irrelevant! The ship is climate controlled and does have gravity, at least barring something wrong; that aspect can be tampered with if someone's determined, and in fact might just bork on its own if someone's too persistent at trying to mess with the autopilot and all, although not to any kind of lethal extent for anyone.
This
will be week one of a two-week plot!
