FIRST A MOD NOTE from Birdy - about the LJ layout changes: All the comms have been switched to custom comment pages enabled; I found a layout that looked functional and non-hideous that'd preserve the most common coding things in comments properly and have readable tag lists etc., but if anyone finds it horrible and objectionable, just let me know or tag here or drop an anon suggestion in the suggestion box or something and I can find a different one.

NOW FOR THE PLOT THING. To make it easier for everyone to track down what's going on with gifts from Secret Santa and other gift-buying, the other purpose of this post is to serve as a master gift list; just tag for your character with a list of what they've gotten for who!

Hi guys, Snow (

toocoolfor) here with a second character to throw into the Manor. I wish I could've picked a better time for this, considering LJ's bullshittery--goatshittery?--but, well. At least shenanigans can still be had, right? Custom comment pages are a godsend right now, I have to say. Ty, Birdy!

Anyways, new character! I'm bringing in the origin of all that is good and mother to us all, the great god Amaterasu from Okami! She comes from mid-final battle, after Nippon offers its prayers to restore her.

A thing to note: as a god, how Ammy appears to people varies. To those with no spiritual powers/weak (or no) faith in the gods and spirits/no psychic abilities, she will simply look like a bigger-than-average white wolf. But those who do believe in the gods/spirits/you get the point, will see the red runes, the swirls of fur and ink, and her Divine Instrument.

Stronger psychics might be able to see through to her 'true self,' which would be 'a maiden most fair.' This would, however, be a very faint image while she's in the Manor.
