Next week, October is -FINALLY OVER!- Your characters may commence the streamers and cheering.
Considering how many people need a drink, the Author is having another incident of bumping a holiday to the wrong time period; next week will be a more normal field trip, to beautiful Münich, Germany! And because the Author decided she wanted to do it anyway, they get to be there when Oktoberfest is in full swing.
For those unfamiliar with it somehow, Oktoberfest was originally the wedding party of one of the last Bavarian kings. The original party lasted for a month, and made such an impression that it became a tradition, now known internationally as that time half of Germany drops everything in favor of music, feasts, dancing, and lots of beer. The city will pretty much be in full fest mode, which means everything from giant tents with tables serving food and drinks with live music, to areas where there's carnival rides and all the trappings of a big fair etc..
Considering how many people could probably really use a drink or twelve after last month...
