Plot Post - Manorcon, Week 2!
That's right, this year Manorcon is going for two weeks.
Don't you all love it so?
If you were nerfed last week and managed to annoy the Author enough for it to stick for more than one day, it'll be gone Monday morning; however, the nerfing is STILL in effect, so you CAN get re-nerfed!
As for the stuff that's going on every day, besides the usual vendors and all, the hours are the same as last week; the major event schedule for this week is below!
MONDAY
10 AM - 2 PM - Food Demos
Or, the nice NPC's making and giving out samples/free food from different parts of the world, particularly Japan and anything relating to people's canons. For those who're homesick!
3 PM - 4 PM - How To Cosplay!
Gathering materials, sewing tips, working with various things for making props, and how to style that wig!
TUESDAY
11 AM - 3 PM - Mecha and Sci Fi Science Panel
Or, well, science as much as the fandom can figure it out; maybe they'll have something interesting, maybe they'll be asspulling like no tomorrow and Getting It All Wrong...
12 PM - 4 PM - Schrodinger's Series Panels - Live Action
For all you lone canon warriors from movies and the like, you can wander in and ... get to hear either creator, actor, or fan commentary on your series. And maybe even have someone ELSE walk in on it.
WEDNESDAY
12 PM - 4 PM - Schrodinger's Series Panels - Anime/Manga
For the rest of our fandoms! Same as yesterday, but for ... almost anyone not already hit.
3 PM - 6 PM - Dramatic Reading Contest
Ever want to hear the fans probably butcher some poor book or manga?
THURSDAY
12 PM - 4 PM - Weapons Demos
Sure, there's "trained professional" NPC's showing off those swords, spears, and other things and how to use them... but you might be able to sneak in and pretend to be one of them... or heckle them.
4 PM - 6 PM - Anime Bingo!
Come show off your knowledge of anime trivia and win a trip to Japan! Or at least a couple nice tickets to be souvenirs.
FRIDAY
12 PM - 2 PM - Cosplay Competition!
Show off your awesome cosplay you've been working on for MONTHS here! Or be horrible dirty rotten cheaters. Or end up outraged at getting downgraded for not having a very good costume as yourself! :D
3 PM - 4 PM - Masquerade/Talent Show!
Skits and fan parodies here! Talent for acting likely the usual for a Con.
SATURDAY
12 PM - 1 PM - Japanese Tea Ceremony 101
Learn about this age old tradition~ (Welcome to one of the few events that will likely NOT induce homicidal rage. Unless you really hate tea and can't sit still.)
3 PM - 4 PM - Tournament Of Champions
Sparring tourney with foam weapons. Or, for some of you, a good way to get nerfed fuzzy/fluffy.
8 PM - 12 AM - RAAAAAAAVE!!!!
Glowsticks and techno music!
SUNDAY
1 PM - 4 PM - Costume Ball!
Ballroom dance your sorrows away that this week of awesome is over.
4 PM - 6 PM - Closing Ceremonies
It will be very sad for all of the fans. And probably saving the sanity of the rest of you.
